New asthma breath test for toddlers
A follow-up study has been started to put an asthma breath test for toddlers into practice. The new breath test, developed by Edward Dompeling (research line Optimising Patient Care) and colleagues of MUMC+, can already diagnose asthma at the age of two, so that the right treatment can be started on time. Now an asthma diagnosis can only be made from the age of six.
The Lung Foundation started a donation campaign to ensure the continuity of follow-up research.
