The European Multi-level Administrative Space: Regulation and Protection - Glaw
REALaw Forum for young scholars.
The 2020 Forum of the Review of Review of European Administrative Law (REALaw) will take place in Maastricht and will be hosted by the Law Faculty of Maastricht University on 5 and 6 October 2020. The overarching aim of the Forum is to discuss how the traditional functions of administrative law (i.e. to regulate governmental action and to protect natural and legal persons from possible abuses of public authorities) are challenged by the multi-level and multi-dimensional nature of the European administrative space.
During the Forum, young scholars will present their research and will receive comments from senior experts in the field. The Forum will be organized around four overarching themes:
1. The challenges of multilevel cooperation in the European administrative space
2. The digital multi-level European administration
3. Transparency and participation in the European multilevel administrative space
4. The challenges of judicial review in the European multilevel administrative space
A selection of the presented papers will be eligible for publication in a special issue of the Review of European Administrative Law, to appear in 2021.
Discussants:
Prof. Diana-Urania Galetta (University of Milan)
Prof. Päivi Leino-Sandberg (Helsinki University)
Prof. Sofia Ranchordás (Groningen University)
Prof. Jacques Ziller (University of Pavia)
