Inaugural lecture Prof. Dr. Sarah Schoenmaekers
Sarah Schoenmaekers was appointed as Professor of European Economic Law and gave her inaugural lecture titled “Made in Europe’ and ‘Buy European’: From gentle branding to bold commanding?”
The inaugural lecture discussed how 'Made in Europe’ and ‘Buy European’ policies take shape and whether the initiatives that have already been taken should be extended to other sectors of the economy, as those policies do not only serve economic purposes, they also aim to strengthen Europe’s (economic) security.
