Guido Bellenghi delivers a guest lecture on the EU as an emergency actor
On Tuesday, 9 December 2025, the Jean Monnet Centre of Excellence EUMERGENCIES, embedded within the Institute for European Studies of UCLouvain Saint-Louis Bruxelles, hosted a guest lecture by Guido Bellenghi, PhD researcher in EU law at Maastricht University and one of EmergEU's scientific experts.
The lecture, titled “The EU as an emergency actor: what does law have to do with it?”, was delivered in the context of the master course EU Legal and Political System. This event marked the first collaboration between the two Jean Monnet Centres of Excellence EmergEU (Maastricht University) and EUMERGENCIES (UCLouvain Saint-Louis Bruxelles), enriching academic exchange and opening new perspectives on how the European Union navigates crises through law, governance, and emergency powers.
