Housing in and around Maastricht
Now that your study at Maastricht University (UM) is about to start, we hope that you have found a room you can move into soon.
If you haven't found accommodation in or around the city of Maastricht yet, we urge you to arrange housing as soon as possible to ensure that you don’t run into housing issues once your study programme has started. Starting your house hunt early is essential. Housing options in Dutch student cities are often limited, especially at the start of the academic year. If you arrive without housing arrangements, please be aware that UM doesn’t offer student housing and online education isn’t available due to housing constraints. Consider using official housing resources such as www.maastrichthousing.com or www.mymaastricht.nl/housing. Exercise extra caution with Facebook housing offers to avoid scams and preferably inspect rooms in person.
Non-EU students should note that their Dutch student visa requires residency in the Netherlands, ruling out living in neighbouring countries under this visa.
Your search begins at Maastricht Housing
Whether you are looking for furnished or unfurnished housing for a short- or long-term, your search begins at Maastricht Housing (the official housing agency for Maastricht University). It has a wide and diverse supply of affordable student housing offered by the UM Guesthouse, the three biggest housing corporations, and private landlords.
Create a Maastricht Housing account with a personalised search profile in only five minutes and receive a notification whenever new offers become available.
Maastricht Housing is also on Facebook and on Instagram (@maastrichthousing).
