This workshop is designed to train mentors, coaches and tutors on coaching and mentoring skills.
Ready to give your course a makeover? Pimp my Course is a practical workshop for course coordinators who would like to review and improve their course.
During the workshop, you will have the opportunity to:
- update your course manual with relevant content
- explore innovative teaching methods
- customise your assessments to gain better insight into student learning and performance.
Together with fellow educators and the workshop facilitator, you will explore how your course could be strengthened. Whether you teach in the sciences, humanities or another discipline, the workshop offers space to reflect on your current course and develop practical ideas for improvement.
About the trainer
Arie van der Lugt describes himself as a “teaching animal”. He works at the Faculty of Psychology and Neuroscience (FPN) at Maastricht University.
Over the last two decades, he has played a central role in teaching, educational innovation and teaching management within the Psychology bachelor’s and master’s programmes. His main educational interests include enhancing creative, cooperative and critical thinking skills in higher education.
