POP writing sessions
Making progress with your writing is much preferred over being frozen in place by the expectation of delivering perfection. With these Progress over Perfection-sessions – or POP-sessions – we want to inspire each other to keep moving forward with our writing in an informal space, by reading each other’s work-in-progress and giving each other constructive feedback.
We send in our work-in-progress of our chapters/articles/etc. before the meetings, and then take turns discussing the submitted work of participants during the session. We alternate the feedback-giving and feedback-receiving rolls per session: a two-hour meeting allows us to discuss the work of 2-3 participants in depth. Participants can test their ideas and work through their problems together. These exchange sessions are primarily targeted at PhD-Candidates and Postdocs affiliated with the Center of Gender and Diversity (CGD), or working on CGD-related topics.
Our next meeting is 28 March, 13.00-15.00, location to be announced. Lunch will be provided. On behalf of the POP-team, Karlien, Vasiliki, Liang-Kai and Noah, we hope to see you there!
Please email to n.littel@maastrichtuniversity.nl to be added to the email-thread for exchanging writing beforehand, and to share your dietary wishes.
