”The building blocks of workplace inclusion”
Keywords: inclusive workplace, job retention, people with disabilities
Within the framework of the Participation Act, a social plan was enforced with the aim of creating 125,000 jobs for people with disabilities by 2026. Many organisations succeed in creating jobs, but retaining those jobs is difficult. Given our general lack of understanding about the factors that would help people with disabilities retain their jobs, this dissertation focuses on the building blocks of sustainable employability. The study found that individual features such as dependence, pro-social motivation and team qualities like work climate all increase the success of an inclusive workplace.
This study was funded by the UWV (Dutch Employee Insurance Agency).
