Neuroinclusive education in practice (session 1)
Neurodivergent students can face obstacles that make it harder for them to reach their full potential. This course offers practical and theoretical insights into how you can make your teaching and learning environment more neuroinclusive. You will look at the design of education, learning activities, assessment and learning environments, and consider changes you can apply in your own work.
Interested in taking part? The training will be held on 10 November and 3 December 2026. Registration covers both sessions, and participants are expected to attend the full training!
Who is this course for?
The course is open to professionals working in higher education, including deans, programme directors, members of Boards of Examiners and Education Programme Committees, teachers, lecturers, study and student advisers, and educational development officers.
Dates and times
The training will be led by two experts from Tilburg University, Dr Hanne Jacobs and Dr Jo Bervoets:
- 10 November 2026, from 09:00 to 16:00
- 3 December 2026, from 13:00 to 16:00
By registering, you sign up for both sessions. It is not possible to attend only one session or part of the training. Please send us an email if you have any questions or would like more information.
This activity may count towards your Continuing Professional Development (CPD), depending on your situation.
What will you learn?
After completing the course, you will:
• understand recent developments in neurodiversity in education
• be able to recognise obstacles faced by neurodivergent students
• be able to assess and apply approaches that support inclusion and accessibility
• be able to design neuroinclusive changes that you can use directly in your own work or teaching

Dr Jo Bervoets, Tilburg University: Researcher in autism and neurodiversity, teacher and expert by experience.
