Life and Work of a Human Rights Activist in Gaza
Yamen Al Madhoun is the Head of the Fieldwork Unit at the Al Mezan Center for Human Rights in Gaza. He and his team collect information about human rights violations and the general human rights situation in Gaza. They use the information to make reports and press releases that are shared with local and international organisations, such as OHCHR.
In this talk, Yamen will talk about his life in Gaza, discuss the general situation, recent human rights violations and his work for Al Mezan.
This lecture is organized by Studium Generale, Shelter City Project and Amnesty International Students Maastricht.
