Keynote lectures by Thomas Piketty and Paul de Grauwe

During this interdisciplinary conference, the Maastricht Treaty is being examined from a socio-economic perspective.

Studio Europa Maastricht and Maastricht University are organizing two conferences, respectively reflecting on the euro and the EMU, and examining the Maastricht Treaty through a socio-economic perspective.

During the conferences ‘Euro at 20’ (27 September) and ’30 years Maastricht Treaty’ (28-29 September) there will be three keynote lectures by Joachim Bitterlich (former adviser to German Chancellor Helmuth Kohl) on 27 September, Thomas Piketty (professor and author of Capital in the 21st century) on 28 September, and Paul de Grauwe (professor at the London School of Economics and Political Science) on 29 September. These lectures are available through free livestreams on YouTube. Register via Aanmelder to receive more information and reminders when the lectures start.
