Elverding Seminar Series

We are pleased to launch the Elverding Seminar Series, a quarterly seminar initiative dedicated to research on sustainable and long-term corporate decision making.

The seminar series is organized within the Elverding Chair at Maastricht University, a multidisciplinary collaboration between the School of Business and Economics and the Faculty of Law. The Chair, held jointly by Mieke Olaerts and Rob Bauer, brings together insights from economics and law to explore how businesses can be encouraged and supported to adopt a more sustainable and long-term perspective.

Topics covered in the seminar series include but is not limited to corporate leadership and sustainability, corporate purpose, stakeholder participation, corporate culture, sustainable governance, regulation, and the role of institutional investors. The seminars aim to foster interdisciplinary discussion and provide a platform for researchers, students, and practitioners to present and discuss ongoing work related to sustainability and long-term value creation.
