Dr D.G.A.J. Hebels

After doing a PhD and several postdocs in the fields of toxicology, toxicogenomics and regenerative medicine, I came to the realization that while I like carrying out projects, an academic tenure track was not the way forward for me. In 2017 I therefore accepted a project leader position in one of the three departments at the MERLN Institute. In 2018, I moved this position to the MERLN Institute as a whole where I also took up the role of embedded data steward, coordinate education, and organize outreach events. As of 2021, I fulfill these roles as a project manager and I started to work as an Open Science Ambassador within the University. In November 2022 I took on a part-time position at the University Library as Open Science Officer, building on my past experience in data management and Open Science.
