Sarah Edris (S.A.)

I’m interested in teaching courses in international business and economics of innovation. I completed my teaching portfolio titled “Reflections on University Teaching” in 2023; I obtained my University Teaching Qualification (UTQ, or BKO in Dutch), a national requirement, in 2024.

Maastricht University, School of Business and Economics

I am responsible for the course design and coordination of the 2nd year bachelor-level course (300+ students), international business [BSc in Economics: IB or EM specializations] (2021 to present) and of the MSc-level course, strategic management in emerging markets [MSc in Economics and strategy in emerging markets, offered in cooperation with UNU-Merit] (2023 to present). I tutored for these classes, as well as for the MSc-level course, Data Analytics (2020 to 2021).

I supervise PhD dissertations and supervise MSc theses of students enrolled in the MSc in International Business: Strategy and Innovation track as first and second reader and have supervised BSc honor student theses.

I am member of the Education program committee [representing MSc BR, MSc IB, and BSc IB at SBE] (2021 to 2025); have served as member of the Board of admissions, MSc in IB (June 2021 to September 2022), and as presenter of the MSc in IB program at the MSc information session, MoD (November 2021, March 2022).
