S. Yang

Shuyi Yang is a PhD candidate at MaCSBio, Faculty of Science and Engineering in Maatricht University, where she focuses on genome-scale metabolic modeling of glial cells. Her research combines omics data integration and systems biology to build metabolic models of glial cells, aiming to better understand their metabolic functions and interactions within the brain. She previously studied protein structure prediction and activation mechanisms during her Master's in Computational Biology at ShanghaiTech University, after completing a Bachelor's in Marine Pharmaceutical Sciences at China Pharmaceutical University. Over time, she developed a strong interest in applying data-driven methods to solve biological problems.
