"Administrative Integration through Agency Governance; The Role of Frontex, the EUAA and Europol"
This thesis investigated how EU agencies can create platforms for integrated policymaking and policy discharge in the Area of Freedom, Security and Justice. It examined the cases of Frontex, the EUAA, and Europol, and analysed how EU institutions and Member States produce knowledge and implement policies jointly in the areas of migration, asylum, and anti-crime policy. From a legal perspective, such increasingly integrated administration may give rise to issues of responsibility, accountability, and institutional balance between the EU and national jurisdictions.
