Dr Fred Stevens (F.C.J.)

For the past years I have worked as an associate professor of medical sociology in different areas of teaching and research. My expertise includes the organization of health care systems, healthcare manpower issues, healthcare culture, the health professions and the division of expert labour. I have participated in many executive, organizational and managerial roles in our faculty or elsewhere as a visiting professor. Currently I chair the Teaching Advisory Committees of the Medicine Curriculum, the Graduate Entry Program in Medicine and Clinical Research, and the Master in Health Professions Education (MHPE). I further coordinate the faculty’s honours program in International Health, and supervise a MHPE teaching unit on Organisation and Leadership in education.
