Rector Pamela Habibovic named Top Woman Limburg 2023
Pamela Habibovic, the Rector Magnificus of Maastricht University, has been this year’s named Top Woman of Limburg province. The announcement was made by the Topvrouwen Limburg foundation at their annual meeting in Venlo.
The Topvrouwen Limburg foundation annually bestows this honorary title upon a figure who actively promotes and advances female entrepreneurship and leadership. The recipient serves as an inspiring and motivating role model for others.
The jury's decision to award Pamela Habibovic was underscored by her strong commitment to inspiring and supporting others in achieving their ambitions. The jury report stated, "Your ambition to help others achieve their goals is woven into one of your own ambitions."
Pamela Habibovic, a distinguished professor specialising in inorganic biomaterials, has held the position of Rector Magnificus at Maastricht University since February 2022. Prior to this, she co-founded and served as the scientific director of the MERLN Institute for Technology-Inspired Regenerative Medicine.
