New Regio Deal Project Starts at ERCE

ERCE launches new research on a resilient and circular Limburg

The Expertise Centre for Regional Circular Economy (ERCE) has launched a new project exploring how the circular economy can contribute to the resilience of Limburg. Supported by the Regio Deal Zuid-Limburg II and Regio Deal Parkstad Limburg III, the project brings together researchers and regional partners to develop new insights for a future-proof region.

The project focuses on how circular strategies can help address challenges such as resource scarcity, climate change, geopolitical uncertainty, and disruptions in global value chains. By placing the relationship between circularity and regional resilience at its core, ERCE aims to develop practical insights and tools for policymakers, businesses, and societal organizations.

Over the coming months, various scenarios and strategies will be explored to identify opportunities for a stronger, more sustainable, and more resilient Limburg. By connecting academic knowledge with regional practice, the project seeks to support informed decision-making and contribute to the long-term development of the region.
