Career history

Frederike Vernimmen (1961) studied Dutch law at the University of Leiden. In the period 1986-1995 she worked in commercial and management positions at ABN-AMRO in Amsterdam and MeesPierson in Rotterdam and London. In 1996 she went to work at the University of Limburg as a lecturer in constitutional and administrative law and researcher on judicial review of discretionary policy decisions. In 2001 she moved to the province of Limburg as a cultural policy advisor for subsidizing the provincial museums. In 2008 she returned to Maastricht University as research policy advisor and Phd coordinator at the Graduate school of law. As from 2011 until 2019 she was appointed as head of the Maastricht University Library department Education & Research Support. Starting academic year 2019 she works now as program manager at the Corporate Information Office for the learning program I-Focus and as front(wo)man of the I-Education domain.
