Join Professor Gilly Salmon on a whistle-stop tour reflecting on the evolution of higher education over the past 1,000 years, super-accelerated by the pandemic and AI pivots.

Gilly Salmon emphasises that we can and should keep our values but also clearly define new visions and methods to equip our students with the skills and knowledge to adapt to our rapidly changing societies and worlds of work.

We should ‘future-proof’ as far as we can whilst accepting education futures are uncertain and fast-changing. We can identify curricula and modes of learning to prepare students for enabling Industry 4.0 graduates to fulfil worthwhile, sustainable, multiple careers and to become contributing citizens of globalisation 4.0 during their long lives.

May the fourth be with you?
