We develop innovative solutions for human-centric human-robot ecosystems, enabling safe cooperation between robots and humans. Such ecosystems range from large-scale human-robot teams to close interactions with social or wearable robots. Our research focuses on (1) natural human-robot interfaces, including haptic, language-based, multi-modal, and extended reality; (2) safe soft robotics, enhancing adaptability and physical interaction safety; and (3) advancing social intelligence in machines, enabling robots to understand human capabilities and needs.
