Professional career history
Ute Hülsheger is Professor of Occupational Health Psychology specializing in Work Stress and Individual Resources at the Department of Work and Social Psychology at Maastricht University, The Netherlands. She received her Ph.D. in Work and Organizational Psychology from Bielefeld University in 2006 and worked as a postdoctoral fellow at the Amsterdam Business School, University of Amsterdam, before joining Maastricht University as an Assistant Professor in 2007.
Her research focuses on occupational health-related topics such as emotional labor and the role of mindfulness for employee health and well-being. Furthermore, she is interested in aspects of employee performance such as creativity and innovation and the role of cognitive abilities and personality for job performance.
