This explainer provides essential context on the ICJ’s advisory opinion request on Obligations of Israel in relation to the Presence and Activities of the United Nations, Other International Organizations and Third States in and in relation to the Occupied Palestinian Territory. The hearings, scheduled from Monday, 28 April 2025 to 2 May 2025, will be live-streamed at the Law Café of the Faculty of Law, Maastricht University.

 Except for the Educatieve Minor: you can sign up for this minor from 1 March 2025 up and until 31 May 2025.

 Please keep in mind that some minors have a limited number of available places.

How to apply for a minor:

  • Students must ask the Board of Examiners  (Department of Advanced Computing Sciences) permission to follow a minor. Submit your list of grades and a motivation via this online form before 1 April.
  • Next, apply via the Special Course Request procedure in the Student Portal. Please choose all courses of the minor or mention the name of the minor programme you opt for in a note.
  • Your request will first be assessed by your own faculty. After approval the request will be forwarded to the offering faculty who assesses if you can be registered (is there still place, do you meet entrance requirements, etc.).
  • After approval you will receive further information on the registration procedure.
