Law and Creativity Workshop
Is law a creative discipline? What is the place of creativity among codes, rules, and procedures? How can lawyers develop the capacity to respond creatively to new challenges and unfamiliar situations? And how has the role of creativity in law changed over time?
Law & Popular Culture brings out the manner in which popular culture affects law and its understanding by actors in society. This academic movement explores law in different environments, such as art and entertainment, as well as cultural movements as phenomena to which the law must relate.
Join us on our upcoming event The Law and Creativity workshop.
The Law and Creativity workshop explores the changing nature of legal creativity and the tools that can help lawyers navigate an increasingly complex world. Anne Van de Vijver, Dean of the Faculty of Law at the University of Antwerp, will present her ongoing project on legal creativity. An expert roundtable will engage in a discussion that will explore legal creativity in connection to questions of epistemology, interdisciplinarity, and the changing relationship between legal thought and practice. Staff and students are warmly invited to join the conversation and contribute their perspectives through an interactive Q&A.
