Research Obstetrics and Gynaecology
Conditions during early life have an impact on long-term health outcomes through effects on homeostatic, parentally imprinted, developmental and maturational processes, as posed in the Developmental Origins of Health and Disease (DOHaD) concept. We focus on the health effects of suboptimal embryonic environment associated to IVF.|

The endometrium is one of the most dynamic tissues in the human body, undergoing cycles of proliferation, differentiation and apoptosis. The thorough regulation of these events is a pre-condition for embryo implantation and development. We focus on pathologic conditions in the endometrium and the lower female genital tract related to both infertility and to malignant transformation.

Fundamental and clinical research is dedicated to better diagnosis and treatment of ovarian, endometrial and cervical cancers.
