What did the dodo really die of?

Like, for example, the tyrannosaurus rex, the dodo is an extinct animal that fires the imagination. But what kind of animal was the dodo? And how did it die out? The answer to these questions is not only surprising, it also has an important link to the current biodiversity crisis. This is what palaeontologist and UM professor Leon Claessens tells us in a short podcast of BNR Nieuwsradio.
