UM websites and systems accessible again following security update

Update 21 October 18:40h

The UM has carried out security updates on its main websites and systems in response to vulnerabilities in the PHP programming language, which is used across large parts of the internet. Most of the platforms that were taken offline as a precautionary measure are now accessible again. This means that our teaching, research and operational activities are no longer disrupted. Should you still encounter any problems, please report them to servicedesk-icts@maastrichtuniversity.nl.

Temporary restrictions on access to websites and systems due to security risk

Due to a global security issue, certain websites and systems, such as UMployee, are offline as a preventive measure. As a result, there may be some disruption to our teaching, research and operational activities.

We are investigating the scope of the issue and its impact on UM’s systems. Should any further measures be needed, we will let you know as soon as possible.

We are unable to say when the issue will be resolved.
