Why this programme

The Research Master programme in Economic and Financial Research is a high-level programme designed for bachelor graduates who wish to further challenge themselves. A limited number of students attend the Research Master in Economic and Financial Research which makes participating a unique experience. Because of the small group size, you have intense contact with your fellow students and tutors. Our best researchers and (inter-)national experts are involved in the coordination and education of the courses. Moreover, during your studies you have the opportunity to further tailor-make your study experience by following courses related to your personal specialty (within the university or elsewhere).

The Research Master programme is the ideal preparation for the PhD programme. The majority of our research master students therefore participate in our teaching activities (first year) and participate in a research internship (second year). Thus, while receiving a financial compensation for participating in these activities, you get a first impression of life as an academic professional.

Also if you decide to pursue your career in economics or finance, a Research Master diploma significantly improves your career prospects. As you are trained in research methodology and techniques, as well as in your chosen field of expertise, your diploma allows you to enter high-end positions in organizations. Nowadays, the skills to work with quantitative and qualitative data is an asset that is highly valued within governmental, private, and public institutes.

Graduates will receive a Master of Science degree in Economic and Financial Research.
