Pauline Hanssen (P.W.J.)
Pauline Hanssen is a PhD Candidate in Mathematical Economics whose research lies at the intersection of game theory, microeconomics, and collective decision making. In her first project, she studies reallocation problems with single-peaked preferences and their connection to the core.
She obtained both her BSc and MSc in Econometrics and Operations Research from the School of Business and Economics at Maastricht University. During her bachelor’s studies, she developed a strong interest in mathematical economics, which led her to concentrate primarily on courses in this field throughout her master’s program.
In addition to her research, she works as a tutor, teaching Microeconomics in the BSc Econometrics and Operations Research program and Management of Operations and Product Development, primarily for students in the BSc International Business program.
