In Memoriam Pauline Vilters-van Montfort
On Friday 12 October, we received the sad news that our colleague Pauline Vilters-van Montfort passed away at the age of 49. Pauline had been working with Maastricht University for 17 years. Together with her close colleagues, she organised the SPSS computer practicals for many FPN and FHML students.
Pauline was a very reliable, careful, meticulous and sweet colleague. She was also very caring: there would always be fresh coffee waiting for you if Pauline was in. She loved her work.
Unfortunately, Pauline became ill last year. The contact with colleagues and the interaction with students were so important to her that despite her illness she attempted to resume her work several times. Her health however, continued to deteriorate. Her death was a big shock to us.
We wish Pauline’s husband Peter and her children Celine and Martin a lot of strength in coping with their grief. Pauline, we will miss you and never forget you.
