NWO Grant for Refugee Scientist Fellowship for Dr. Giselle Bosse
The Netherlands Organisation for Scientific Research (NWO) ‘Refugees in Science’ pilot contributes to making Dutch science and the academic labour market accessible to refugee scientists.
The grant (€60.000) finances the appointment of a research fellow, Mr Erman Atak, to Dr Bosse’s ongoing NWO project. During this one-year fellowship at FASoS, his research will focus on the influence of lobby groups on EU military operation ‘Sophia’ against migrant smugglers.
The NWO ‘Refugees in Science’ pilot has been developed in consultation with The Young Academy, the Royal Netherlands Academy of Arts and Sciences and Foundation for Refugee Students UAF. NWO has awarded funding to twelve proposals.
