A new MEPLI working paper by Jan Smits and Caroline Calomme on 'The Reform of the French Law of Obligations: Lex Jeux Sont Faits'.
On October 1st 2016 a historical event in the area of the French law of obligations took place: For the first time since the introduction of the French Civil Code in 1804, the law was fundamentally reformed. This working paper deals with both the motives and content of this reform.
