Update 10 May 16:00 hours | Canvas remains unavailable on Monday
Canvas is still unavailable to UM students and staff. This is causing significant disruption to both teaching and learning. However, we naturally want to be certain that Canvas can be ‘reconnected’ safely. Work on restoring the connection continued throughout the weekend, and those efforts are still ongoing without interruption.
Unfortunately, this means that we will have to start the week on Monday 11 May without Canvas. Despite the disruption, teaching will continue. Each programme and faculty will determine how best to proceed without Canvas. Students and staff will receive the relevant information via their own faculty.
We expect to be able to provide further information to everyone, both here and via the faculties, later on Monday.
We are doing everything we can to return to normal as soon as possible, i.e. with Canvas. And we thank everyone for their flexibility in continuing to work and study despite the disruption.
