Think Tank IDS and EDLAB

Data science is a growing and promising discipline that has impacted various domains, including higher education. In an effort to empower more data-driven thinking and to innovate education by using data science tools to help educators and students, we are excited to announce a first Thinktank to explore opportunities for innovations for education driven by data science. 

The goal of this meeting is for educators across the university and IDS colleagues to introduce themselves and brainstorm on innovations for education driven by data science. 

We would like each of you to actively participate in this meeting by preparing 1 PPT-slide to briefly introduce yourself, your interests, and previous relevant education projects. 

In addition, we would like you to think beforehand about possible innovations for education. 

Deadline PPT-slide:

Please e-mail your PPT-slide to birgit.wouters@maastrichtuniversity.nl and name them as “your-last-name_name-of-your-institute” (e.g. janssen_fasos) by Thursday 26 September 2019.

Based on the outcomes of this exploratory meeting, we will plan a follow-up meeting.
