Under the guidance of an experienced teacher, you will actively engage with Dutch from the very first lesson. Your group will consist of twelve to twenty students. Together, you will practise the language through various communicative speaking and listening exercises. In addition, you will need to practise the language for approximately 1.5 to 2 hours per week. This course focuses on oral communication. Reading and writing are supporting skills that you will mainly practise at home. Your teacher is a native speaker of Dutch and will communicate in the target language as much as possible during the lessons. The teacher will only provide explanations in English when absolutely necessary.

I can confidently say that I am much better at Dutch now than when I started. I am understanding much more from the random conversations I hear now. I now can understand written notes and announcements, as well as instructions on the phone, all after just 7 weeks. In addition I made new friends during the course.
I would definitely recommend this course to other students! It is really helpful to get a feeling for the Dutch language. The small groups and the variety of exercises make the classes really enjoyable. Language learning is always fun!
