PhD researcher

Xiheng Chen

Xiheng Chen started in 2014 with studying environmental law. Since then, she has been focusing on understanding how a high level of environmental protection can be effectively and efficiently reached based on the rule of law.

Core research attention goes to legal aspects of regulatory instruments for pollution prevention and control.

Before joining ICIS, she worked in Sun Yat-sen University where she took part in research on “the enacting Guangdong Regulation on marine ecological damages and loss compensation”, “revising Guangzhou Regulation on the Prevention and Control of Atmospheric Pollution”, etc.

Since December 2018 she is a PhD Researcher at ICIS with the Guangzhou Elite program, sponsored by Guangzhou government. She will conduct her research on integrated environmental permit system.
