A. Sai
Dr. Sai is an Assistant professor in the Department of Advanced Computing Sciences at Maastricht University. He has a Ph.D. in Computer Science from SFI Centre for Software Ireland where his research focused on better understanding what decentralization entails in a distributed systems context. His research has been featured in several national and international media outlets (Forbes, Economic Times). His work on centralization has been foundational to policy development around cryptocurrencies. Dr. Sai’s work has been cited by SEC in the US, OECD, Ada Lovelace Institute, and Norges Bank in their policy documents.
He has also worked as visiting scholar at the University of California, Berkeley where he continued working on promoting scientific rigor in decentralized research. In the past, he has worked as a lecturer at Trinity College Dublin and the University of Amsterdam.
Dr. Sai is also an experienced educator, teaching a range of undergraduate courses and graduate-level courses in computer science and software engineering. His teaching emphasizes both foundational principles and advanced topics, preparing students for academic and industry careers.
