EDLAB is hiring a Student Assistant Education Innovation

EDLAB seeks a student assistant with a passion for education & innovation, Problem-Based Learning and an interest in and feel for AI and other emerging technologies. The ideal candidate responds quickly to requests and works in a proactive and organisational manner. 

You will work closely with the EDLAB education innovation team and support different projects we currently work on.

Key tasks:  

  • Support education innovation projects (e.g. AI & the Future of Learning, VR-enhanced learning, general educational tool & technology developments) 
  • Help organise teaching staff -and student events such as the UM Education Days and Student-Meets 
  • Collaborate with the EDLAB education innovation team, bring in a ‘student voice’ and connect to the UM student population 

Your profile

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in English   
  • Interest and knowledge about the development of Large Language Models (LLMs) in education  
  • Experience in using LLMs and other AI fueled technologies for multimodal output (e.g. textual, design, audiovisual) 
  • Organisational skills  
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team  
  • Professional and responsible attitude

Conditions of employment  

  • Position: between 6-8 hours per week 
  • Temporary 1-year contract via InterUM with the possibility of extension
