Denise Petzold invited to collaborate with colleagues from Muziekcentrum De Bijloke

Denise Petzold, assistant professor at the Faculty of Arts and Sciences at Maastricht University and researcher affiliated to the Maastricht Centre for the Innovation of Classical Music, will collaborate with Muziekcentrum De Bijloke as a Gangmaker for the next two seasons. During this project, Petzold will explore the theme ‘canon’ together with staff and audiences. 

Since 2023, Muziekcentrum De Bijloke has been appointing three young talents to keep their finger in the pulse and hold a critical mirror to themselves. Each ‘Gangmaker’ is tasked on working on a theme that is closely linked to their practice. As their website states, ‘their observations, experiments and findings will challenge and stimulate our team behind the scenes, and also spark our own thinking.’
