Research projects
Currently working on Horizon 2020 XR2Learn project, which uses virtual reality (VR) to enhance educational experiences. My role is to design robust, near real-time computer systems architecture capable of processing multimodal data—including emotion detection and contextual information—in dynamic learning environments. The system integrates VR headsets, eye and mouth tracking, and Shimmer sensors for bio-measurements such as heart rate and skin conductivity. This system adapts educational content in real time by delivering personalised, emotion-sensitive feedback to learners, improving engagement and learning outcomes.
