YUFE secures new European Commission funding for YUFEPULSE

Great news for the YUFE Alliance! The European Commission has approved YUFE's application to the Erasmus+ 2026 European Universities call, securing funding for the next phase of our collaboration: YUFEPULSE.

Following two successful Erasmus+ funding periods, this new two-year investment will enable YUFE to build on its achievements and further strengthen the European university ecosystem we have created together.

With YUFEPULSE, YUFE will focus on:

  • Expanding innovative learning opportunities and talent development for students and staff
  • Strengthening collaboration between our ten partner universities
  • Deepening partnerships with regional organisations, cities and businesses
  • Ensuring that the impact of YUFE continues well beyond a single project cycle

For Maastricht University, this means we can continue offering exciting international opportunities through YUFE, from educational activities and mobility to collaboration with partners across Europe, while contributing to a more connected, inclusive and socially responsible European Higher Education Area.

As YUFE Secretary General Maria-Valerie Schegk explains: "We are delighted that this additional funding will allow us to further pursue our ambitions to develop a true European University Alliance."

Together, we're continuing to shape the future of European higher education.
