Three UM researchers selected for European AI in Science Working Groups

The members of the SCIANCE EU Project (RAISE Secretariat) AI in Science Working Groups (AISWGs) have been announced with three UM researchers selected to contribute to this important European initiative.

Congratulations to Prof. Dr. Michel Dumontier (FSE) – Life Sciences AISWG, Dr. Bart Penders (FHML) – Open Science & Trustworthy AI AISWG and  Dr. Massimiliano Simons (FASoS) – Open Science & Trustworthy AI AISWG. With three selected experts Maastricht University is among the best-represented universities in the AISWGs. This reflects the breadth of expertise across our university and provides our researchers with an excellent opportunity to contribute to European discussions on the future of AI in science. Among other activities, AISWG members will help develop a future Strategic Research & Innovation Agenda (SRIA) and advance AI-driven scientific discovery.
