Livia Solaro (L.)
Livia Solaro is a Ph.D. researcher at Maastricht University's Law Faculty. Under the supervision of Prof. Lars van Vliet and Prof Marta Pertegás Sender, her research investigates restitution of Nazi-looted art, with a focus on the litigation taking place in the US.
Before joining Maastricht University, Livia obtained her Master of Laws from Trento University (Italy). As part of the Erasmus+ programme, she studied at Maastricht University (Netherlands) and Newcastle Law School (United Kingdom). She has interned at the Italian Embassy in Tokyo.
Livia tutors Art Law, Private International Law and Comparative Property Law at Maastricht University. She is a member of the Maastricht European Private Law Institute (M-EPLI)
She is co-founder of the UM Law & Popular Culture Research Network.
