F. Németh-Trocado

Francisca is a PhD researcher at the European Law Department, Faculty of Law. Her research examines institutional mechanisms that ensure or undermine coherence in EU environmental law, with a particular focus on how to legislate coherently in the face of complex and interrelated environmental challenges. She conducts her research under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Marjan Peeters and Dr. Suvi-Tuuli Puharinen. In addition, she tutors the Master’s course ‘European Environmental Law’.

Francisca holds an LLB in International and European Law from the University of Groningen (cum laude, 2023) and an LLM in European Law from Maastricht University (summa cum laude, 2024). In 2024–2025, she worked as a Lecturer in EU Law, teaching a range of EU institutional and substantive law courses.
