Projects with Radboud University: Focus on themes starting in 2025
The collaboration between Radboud University and Maastricht University will become more thematic from 2025 onwards. Due to budget cuts at Radboud University, the budget for the partnership will decrease from €1 million to €600,000 per year in the coming years. This means a sharper selection of projects, focusing on a limited number of themes.
In the short term, a major new collaborative project in the field of neuroscience will begin. Additionally, the development of a joint master’s programme in Crop Biotechnology and Engineering in Venlo will continue. A decision regarding this programme is expected in spring 2025 following the Toets nieuwe opleiding, the final step in the accreditation process.
Focus and Ambition
By concentrating on a smaller number of themes, the partner universities aim to achieve their ambitions. A plan for 2025–2027, including more specific guidelines for new applications, is in development.
