Nino Gugushvili (N.G.)
I am an assistant professor at Maastricht University in the Work and Social Psychology department of the Faculty of Psychology and Neuroscience.
My research examines the psychological and societal consequences of digital technologies, with a current focus on conversational and algorithmic AI.
I am specifically interested in (1) How humans interact with, connect to, and are affected by AI systems; (2) how AI mediates human-to-human relationships. Across both, I study the consequences for individual and collective trust, wellbeing and social cohesion.
