UM Postdoc Network

The UM Postdoc Network is established to strengthen the position, visibility and well-being of postdoctoral researchers within Maastricht University.

Our mission is to:

• Advocate for the rights and needs of post-docs, ensuring representation at institutional decision-making levels and working constructively with university leadership to improve support structures and long-term prospects.
• Advance careers by promoting clear and sustainable career pathways, embedding postdoc perspectives in university-wide policies and sharing resources on professional development.
• Connect across all faculties and other institutions to build a community where post-docs can share experiences, foster collaborations and access career development opportunities.
• Support peers by providing a collaborative platform to address specific questions and challenges.

Through initiatives based on these pillars, the UM Postdoc Network ambition is to empower postdoctoral researchers and contribute to a vibrant and supportive academic community in which post-docs can grow professionally and shape their future careers with confidence.
