"We are the glue - connecting various fields" said one of my supervisors.

Some argue that interdisciplinarity doesn’t exist and if that were true, AI itself wouldn’t exist either. My research lives in this space of intersections. After studying how technology can be designed to be compassionate and human-centered, I have now turned to how it can be done responsibly into the realm of AI law, asking how it too can be human-centered. More specifically I am working towards a co-designed, interdisciplinary framework to safeguard people against the everyday manipulations and subtle deceptions AI generates across social media and their effects on well-being.

This research is being conducted under project Regtech4AI at the law and tech lab under the supervision of an amazing interdisciplinary team Konrad Kollnig, Johanna Gunawan and Gjis van Djick.
