E.F.G. Pecqueux
Emma Pecqueux is a PhD candidate within the ERC-funded SoftEN project investigating the use of soft enforcement in EU migration policies. Her doctoral research focuses on the monitoring mechanisms within the EU’s Integrated Border Management (IBM) framework, with attention to their potential in promoting compliance and safeguarding fundamental rights.
Career history
Prior to her PhD, Emma completed a 10-month traineeship at the EU Agency for Fundamental Rights in the EU Charter, Rule of Law and Democracy Unit. She also holds an LLB in European Law and an LLM in International Laws from Maastricht University, including exchange programs at Lund University and Universidade Católica Portuguesa.
